Hivemind

INTRODUCTION

HIVEMIND is a co-operative stealth game seen from a top-down perspective in which players play as aliens invading a highly classified government facility. During gameplay the players characters are linked to each other which forces the players to think as one hence the name hivemind. This project was created in a group. The goal of the project was to create a vertical slice of a game.

MY CONTRIBUTIONS

The game was created by a team of 2 artists and 2 programmers over the course of 3 months, using Unreal Engine 4. During this time I worked as a programmer on gameplay, game design, level design, sound functionality and UI functionality. The game and level design were a key feature to get right considering it is an original twist on the co-op genre. All these design challenges were also documented on our itch.io devlog page.
